Health and Safety an Introduction
The Health and Safety at Work Act has been with us
since 1974, quite a while now and probably no body of
legislation, and there is lots of legislation made
under this act, is more misunderstood or ridiculed
here in the U.K.
Yet there is no need for this, there is loads of
misunderstanding out there.
The Act seeks to control risk of injury to a level
that is comparable with an everyday level of risk.
Yes not remove all risk, there is a perfectly
acceptable level of risk of injury the sort of level
we encounter in our everyday life.
